Aquatic Program

Jump in! The water is perfect! There is nothing like taking a swim in the middle of winter, and now you can. The Cantrell Center offers water aerobics and individual lap swim in our 4 foot deep, heated, indoor junior Olympic size pool all year round.

Our programs include water aerobics classes led by qualified instructors, water walking classes that are perfect for taking control of your arthritis or easing back into a fitness routine, and Arthritis Foundation Aquatics Classes led by highly trained and certified instructors. We also allot specific times for individual lap swimming and walking.

Our top-rated water aerobics classes use the water to both create resistance and “cushion” the impact, making this the ideal fitness choice for many.

Please see pool schedule below.  In order to get in the pool during a class time, you must participate in the class.  If you’re not interested in participating in a class, please see times designated “Lap Swim & Solo Aquatics” during which time the pool will be divided into lanes and you may choose to lap swim or do independent aquatic exercise during this time. As a general rule, during “Lap Swim & Solo Aquatics” the two inner lanes are reserved for lap swimmers whereas the two outer lanes are for those doing independent exercises or water walking. However, the instructor on duty has the ultimate say.
