Doctor of Physical Therapy

My two passions in life are family and physical therapy. My family consists of my husband, Don, my two daughters, Christy and Nadia, nine brothers and sisters, my mom and dad, 27 nieces and nephews, 2 dogs, 3 birds, and 2 fish tanks.

As a physical therapist for the past 33 years with a husband formerly in the US Navy, I have worked in many different therapy settings from California to Georgia. This includes 4 years at the National Institutes of Health where my interest in research began.  I received two awards for physical therapy research on tumors and hip replacements and a distinguished service award from the American Physical Therapy Association Orthopedic Section for volunteer work on the national level.

2017 was a year of change for me. My daughters both moved out of the area, one to Orlando and one to Augusta. As an empty nester I increased my work days at the Cantrell Center to almost full time and began treating both men and women for pelvic floor problems. My best moments in physical therapy come when I am working with you.  Every little bit of progress we make toward achieving your goals and your smile of satisfaction is my reward.  With the excellent staff of the Cantrell Center behind us, we can’t go wrong.   I look forward to working with you.
