Braxton Hurt, PTA
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Hi, my name is Braxton Hurt. I was born and raised in Milledgeville, GA. I come from a family of 5, and I am the youngest of 3 siblings (one brother & one sister).  I spent the majority of my childhood in Milledgeville and graduated from Baldwin High School in 2010.  I also attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA, where I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science in 2014.  Most recently, I finished up at Athens Technical College in April 2019 and graduated with my Physical Therapist Assistant degree.

I played sports, mainly baseball & soccer, for the majority of my life growing up and first took interest in physical therapy back in middle school when I had to do rehab for an injured quadricep muscle I sustained during a soccer game.  I remember being fascinated with all the equipment in the facility and thinking that it would be fun to work with athletes as well one day.  I’ve always enjoyed learning about the human body and how it works & I have a passion for helping others.  I recently got engaged to my fiancé, Christian, who is from Macon, so after graduation I began looking for jobs in this area.  I was captivated by the Cantrell Center after one visit.  I really like the family atmosphere & and the professionalism of the staff here.  I look forward to starting my career here and learning all that I can!

In my free time I love to stay active!  I love to work out and compete in obstacle course races like the Spartan races.  Some more of my hobbies include playing/watching sports, fishing, personal training, traveling, and reading.
