Shoulders

If your doctor has referred you to physical therapy for your shoulder, choose the Cantrell Center. Our highly trained staff has documented success with a variety of shoulder diagnoses, including Adhesive Capsulitis, rotator cuff impingement syndromes, rotator cuff tears, labral injuries, anterior and posterior subluxations, dislocations, AC joint separations and major tendon injuries and myriad more… most of which are treated without surgery.

That said, sometimes surgery is inevitable. When this is the case, we want you to know that our reputation for quality care following complicated surgeries has attracted patients from as far away as Atlanta. We also see many cancer patients who have had shoulder surgeries, including muscle flaps and major tendon transfers.

The following are just a few of the shoulder diagnoses that can be effectively treated with physical therapy:

  • Adhesive Capsulitis
  • Dislocations and other traumatic injury
  • Glenohumeral Instability
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Post-mastectomy
  • Post-surgical shoulder
  • Rotator Cuff Disorders
  • Shoulder pain
  • Shoulder tendonitis/bursitis
  • Shoulder-hand Syndrome
